Quick and Easy Texas Chili Recipe With Beans!

Quick and Easy Texas Chili is one of my favorite cool weather meals.  This recipe is delicious, easy to make and falls right in to the frugal category!

With just a few ingredients, it’s hard to believe that it’s packed full of so much flavor.  If your ground chuck is thawed, you can literally have this on the table in a little over 30 minutes!  It makes plenty and if you can’t eat all of it, freeze the leftovers and you’ll have a quick meal for another night when you don’t have time to cook!

Let’s Make it!

Quick and Easy Texas Chili

Start with just six ingredients (not counting salt).  I used a large can of Charro beans, but you can use chili beans, red beans or whatever you prefer.  If you want a kick to it, I’d recommend the medium to hot chili beans.

You can also add a few shakes of cayenne pepper, but be careful.  Taste in between seasonings.

In a dutch oven or a large saucepan, brown the ground chuck/beef, onion and minced garlic.  Drain any grease off and add the chili powder, salt, tomato paste and stir.  Then add the canned beans (don’t drain) and water and stir again.  Cover, reduce heat and simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

*If you need a good, inexpensive dutch oven, below are a couple of suggestions that are not only great for chili, but also for soups!

Serve with cheese, sour cream, avocado on the side or you can serve over rice or Fritos!  Tastes wonderful with cornbread or crackers, as well!
