Quick and Easy Texas Chili is one of my favorite cool weather meals. This recipe is delicious, easy to make and falls right in to the frugal category! With just a few ingredients, it's hard to believe that it's packed full of so much flavor. Use ground turkey to make it even healthier!

Ingredients
1-1.5lblean ground beef/chuck or turkey
1small chopped onion
1tsp.minced garlic
1 31ozcan Charro beanscan substitute your favorite beans
1 6ozcan tomato paste
1 1/2cupsof water
1Tbspchili powder
1tspsaltI used slightly less
Instructions
Combine the first 3 ingredients in a Dutch oven or large saucepan. Cook until meat is browned. Be sure to break up the meat into small bite size chunks or pieces.
When completely browned, drain off grease.
Add beans and remaining ingredients.
Cover, reduce heat and simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Serve over rice, Fritos or by itself. Top with sour cream, cheese and/or avocado with cornbread or crackers.
