Easy orange chicken is simple to make and so much better than takeout. Just a few simple ingredients make this a favorite go to meal that will have your family asking for more!
Ingredients
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (I use Sweet Baby Ray's)
  • 1 cup Sweet Orange Marmalade (I use Smuckers)
  • 2 TBSP Soy Sauce (I have left this out and I couldn't taste the difference)
  • 3-4 Chicken Breast (Cut into chunks)
  • 1 cup (give or take) Flour
  • 2 Eggs
  • Oil (I use Canola)
Instructions
  1. In a sauce pan, add the marmalade, BBQ sauce and soy sauce. Heat on low and let simmer. Be sure to stir.
  2. Pour a thin layer of oil into a skillet and turn stove on med/high heat.
  3. Cut up chicken breast into chunks. In one bowl, beat the 2 eggs and put flour in another bowl.
  4. Dip chicken pieces in egg, dredge in flour, then add to hot skillet and cook 4-5 minutes on each side and/or till chicken turns golden brown.
  5. Once cooked, drain on a paper towel.
  6. Put chicken in a large bowl and pour orange sauce over it. Stir or toss, making sure each piece is completely coated.
  7. Serve with fried or steamed rice and veggies. Broccoli goes great with this dish. Add egg rolls for a true Chinese dining experience and ENJOY!
